Verizon Communications Inc. on Thursday said its board raised the quarterly dividend by 2% to 62.75 cents from 61.5 cents.
The new payout, equal to $2.51 a year, represents an annual yield of about 4.15% based on Wednesday's closing price of $60.53, up from about 4.06%.
The largest U.S. wireless carrier by subscribers said the increased dividend is payable Nov. 2 to shareholders of record Oct. 9.
