LAKE FOREST, Calif. (AP) _ Staar Surgical Co. (STAA) on Wednesday reported profit of $6 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Lake Forest, California-based company said it had profit of 12 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, came to 21 cents per share.
The maker of implantable lenses posted revenue of $58.4 million in the period, which topped Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $57.7 million.
Staar Surgical expects full-year revenue in the range of $230 million to $231 million.
