Siemens AG is one of the world's leading manufacturers of electronic and electro-technical equipments. Net sales (including intragroup) break down by family of products as follows:

- medical equipment (28.8%): medical imaging systems, laboratory diagnostics and hearing aid systems, etc.;

- industrial equipment (26.4%): automated production, assembly, logistics and monitoring systems, etc.;

- building and infrastructure equipment (24%): HVAC products (heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems), building security systems (fire detection and protection systems, access control, video surveillance and intrusion detection systems, etc.), building management systems, etc.;

- equipment integrated into transport systems (14.8%): automated systems for trains, streetcars, cars, traffic management, tolls, etc.

The rest of net sales (6%) concerns financial, real estate and energy activities.

Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Germany (18.1%), Europe/Commonwealth of Independent States/Africa/Middle East (31.9%), Asia/Australia (23.8%), the United States (21.7%) and America (4.5%).
