Orange said late Wednesday that it has issued a sustainability bond to finance projects related to digital and social inclusion, energy efficiency and the circular economy.
The French telecommunications company said the bond issue, which was oversubscribed, has a total nominal of 500 million euros ($590.2 million) with a nine-year maturity.
Orange said it would to allocate around 40% of proceeds for digital and social inclusion projects, with about 60% going toward energy-efficiency and circular-economy projects.
