Microsoft Corp. unveiled on Wednesday its new Surface Go 2 tablet and the Surface Book 3 laptop computer, with the aim of boosting sales amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The 10.5-inch screen tablet will hit the market next Tuesday with a price starting at $399, at a time when many people around the world are forced to work or participate in schooling from home due to the virus outbreak.
The demand for laptops and tablet computers is expected to grow, as many students do not yet have such devices even though social-distancing measures require them to study at home and communicate with teachers online.
Microsoft's new Surface Book 3 arrives on May 21 and will start at $1,599. The high-end laptop will be available with either a 13.5-inch or 15-inch display.
