International Business Machines : IBM Strengthens Its Bench of Federal IT and Industry Expertise with Key Hires in Washington, DC

07/26/2021 | 11:48am EDT

July 26, 2021 - Today IBM (NYSE: IBM) announced key additions to its Washington, DC based Federal Global Business Services team.

In May, the Biden administration issued the Executive Order on Improving the Nation's Cybersecurity, which establishes a framework for the U.S. government to develop and issue new requirements in key areas including, software supply chain security, threat information sharing, and federal IT modernization and procurement. These new hires reflect IBM's growth and investment as a hybrid multi-cloud and AI business of the future and reinforce the company's commitment to helping federal agencies securely modernize their IT infrastructures.

Short biographies of the new hires are listed below in alphabetical order:

Major General (Ret) Brian T. Dravis, Partner, Defense and Intelligence, IBM Federal Global Business Services

Before joining IBM, Major General (Ret) Brian T. Dravis served as Director of the Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA) Joint Service Provider, where he led five Centers supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, Headquarters Department of the Army, and all other Department of Defense Component offices and oversaw all daily IT operations and defenses, managing an infrastructure and portfolio valued at over $1 billion.

Troy Edgar, Partner, Finance and Supply Chain Transformation, IBM Federal Global Business Services

Troy Edgar most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) where he oversaw a $90 billion budget, a financial systems modernization, and all financials for DHS management and operations. Edgar is a Navy veteran with more than 25 years of consulting, corporate and public sector experience.

Margie Graves, Partner, Digital Modernization Strategist, IBM Federal Global Business Services and Senior Fellow, IBM Center for The Business Government

Prior to joining IBM, Margie Graves was the Deputy Federal Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), where she led efforts to drive value in federal IT, deliver digital services, protect federal IT assets and information, and develop the next generation IT workforce.

Lieutenant General (R) John W. Morgan III, Partner, Federal and Department of Defense and Army Client Lead, IBM Federal Global Business Services

Lieutenant General (R) John W. Morgan III joins IBM from Northrup Grumman Defense Systems and has experience directing performance and managing budgets for multi-million-dollar programs, large military operations, and organizations. In his last military assignment from 2010 to 2013, LTG (R) Morgan served in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) as the (3-star) Commander of Allied Force Command-Heidelberg (Land Component).

Kevin Aylward, Kyle House and David Robbins also join the IBM Federal Global Business Services team as Partners.

These seven experienced executives will play an important role as part of an already impressive IBM Federal Global Business Services roster, which also includes Terry Halvorsen, former Department of Defense and U.S. Navy CIO, who was hired in Fall 2020 and serves as General Manager, Federal Client Solutions Development.
