Hyundai Mobis Co.'s third-quarter net profit fell 33% from a year earlier due to reduced global shipments by client auto makers amid pandemic-suppressed demand.

Net profit for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was 391.35 billion Korean won ($344.8 million), down from KRW581.86 billion in the same quarter a year earlier, the South Korean car-parts supplier said Thursday. That missed a FactSet consensus forecast for a net profit of KRW448.90 billion.

Revenue during the quarter rose 5.8% to KRW9.992 trillion, while operating profit dropped 0.9% to KRW598.34 billion.
