NEW YORK (AP) _ Casper Sleep Inc. (CSPR) on Tuesday reported a loss of $33.7 million in its second quarter.
On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had a loss of 81 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 39 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 34 cents per share.
The company posted revenue of $151.8 million in the period, which topped Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $150.8 million.
For the current quarter ending in October, Casper Sleep said it expects revenue in the range of $152 million to $159 million.
Casper Sleep shares have climbed 13% since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 21% in the last 12 months.
