Acerinox Europa and its workers have allocated more than €130,000 to social organisations in Campo de Gibraltar to alleviate the economic and social effects of the pandemic on the most disadvantaged.
Just like in April, when €60,000 were allocated to 20 social welfare organisations in the region, the company and its employees have contributed a further €70,600 (to 26 different entities) to continue these social action efforts and help those most affected in the Campo de Gibraltar region.
The contributions will go towards social welfare programmes and centres that take care of the elderly, children, people with disabilities and families in need.
Distribution of the funds was determined during a meeting held yesterday by the Social Responsibility Committee, composed of representatives from management, the trade unions and the entities receiving the donations.
Once again, we would like to thank the collaborating entities for their help in ensuring our donations reach the community.
Additionally, Acerinox Europa has demonstrated its commitment to the fight against the virus with a donation of masks (approximately 20,000), including 1,500 masks to the healthcare network of Campo de Gibraltar and other personal protective equipment for elderly care homes and health centres. This material was also sent to two hospitals in the region (Punta de Europa and Hospital de La Línea) for patient care and to stop the spread of the virus in environments as critical as hospitals.
