United States: Philly Fed manufacturing Index better than estimates at 32.3

10/15/2020 | 10:47am EDT

The consensus counted on 14.4. The previous publication was 15.

This index is used to determine the level of manufacturing activity in the Philadelphia area through a survey conveyed among 250 companies. The level of this indicator could anticipate a possible deterioration in the industrial activity nationwise. An increase in this index could have a positive effect on the dollar and U.S. markets.
