UnitedHealth Group shares fell after the largest U.S. insurer by enrollees posted a sequential drop in third-quarter profit, as Americans returned to health-care facilities for elective procedures and other purposes after a dramatic pandemic-related pause in the spring and early summer.
Shares of rivals such as Anthem and Centene fell in sympathy.
