The FTSE 100 is expected to open six points lower at 7285, according to CMC Markets, after downbeat trading in Asia and a lower close on Wall Street. Markets in mainland China, Hong Kong and Japan are lower and the Dow Jones closed Wednesday down 0.6%. "Today's European open looks set up for a cautious start, with Asia markets trading softer," CMC analyst Michael Hewson says.
