WILMERDING, Pa. (AP) _ Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corp. (WAB) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $135.7 million.
The Wilmerding, Pennsylvania-based company said it had profit of 71 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for restructuring costs and non-recurring costs, came to $1.04 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.03 per share.
The maker of parts for locomotives, subways and buses posted revenue of $2.37 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.19 billion.
For the year, the company reported profit of $326.7 million, or $1.84 per share. Revenue was reported as $8.2 billion.
Wabtec expects full-year earnings in the range of $4.50 to $4.80 per share, with revenue expected to be $8.7 billion.
Wabtec shares have fallen roughly 1% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed roughly 3% in the last 12 months.
