HCL Technologies Ltd. said Friday that its second-quarter net profit rose 19% from a year earlier thanks to strong revenue growth and margin improvement.
The Indian information-technology services provider said that the net profit for the quarter ended Sept. 30 rose to 31.42 billion rupees ($427.9 million) from INR26.51 billion a year earlier. That beat the estimate of INR30.19 billion from a FactSet poll of analysts.
Second-quarter revenue increased 6.1% to INR185.94 billion.
Earnings before interest and taxes margin improved to 21.6% from 20.0% a year earlier.
