Europe takes new action against Apple, Boeing’s 737 MAX flying soon?

Novavax launches Phase III trial of its vaccine candidate Covid, Apple is still not out of the woods in Europe, while Boeing 737 Max could fly again soon.

By the end of the year. Boeing’s 737 MAX could be cleared to resume flights in November, allowing it to return to commercial service before the end of the year, the executive director of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) said Friday, quoted by Reuters.

Apple vs. EU.  The European Commission announced that it has decided to appeal the annulment of the procedure in which Apple was ordered to pay 13 billion euros in tax arrears to the Irish State.

New phase III. An eleventh Covid-19 vaccine, that of Novavax, enters phase III clinical trials. Trials have been launched in the United Kingdom. In addition to the Chinese and Russian projects, the most advanced candidates at present are those of AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Moderna. Novavax has received $1.6 billion in financing from the American authorities to carry out its trials. As a reminder, Phase III aims to determine the efficacy of a treatment on a large population, and if successful, will allow the filing of a marketing application, which in this case would be greatly accelerated, given the stakes involved.

Something new in streaming video games. Amazon.com presents its new connected devices and launches into online gaming with the Luna platform. Ubisoft will have its own channel on the service. Amazon also unveiled the new generation of its connected devices, including the Echo speaker.
