Expert tasters have awarded the Istrian peninsula
the Flos Olei guide's best region in the world award
for extra virgin olive oil a 6th consecutive year
(SOUNDBITE) (Croatian) OWNER OF OIL MILL, MANUEL GRUBIC, SAYING:
"First, we can celebrate our location and the terrain of our olive orchard. The second important thing is the variety and thirdly, it's very important that we do not have any mass production, we only operate in a smaller production. For example, our orchards are small and mostly run by families. The olive harvest is done manually, they are processed immediately, and the quantity produced is relatively small."
