For several years now, the terms "sustainable development" or "green energy" have been widely used. Many companies in the energy sector (in the broad sense) work to produce electricity in a sustainable way and preserve our natural resources. However, the players are diverse and, in many cases, large oil groups are investing and developing wind farms in parallel...
Day after day, the protection of our formidable ecosystem is becoming a major, if not mandatory, issue. However, beware of appearances, "green washing" is often used to denounce the action of large polluting companies that seek to restore their image through green investments. This is why it is interesting to dig in order to find the most environmentally friendly companies in the energy sector.
If we were to try to classify the different types of renewable energy by preference, we could obtain this classification:
For example, solar energy seems to be an excellent solution that uses the sun's rays to produce energy. On the other hand, the production of photovoltaic panels poses other problems. They are made from silicon, whose extraction involves many complex chemical processes and requires the use of fossil fuels - hence its 4th place in this ranking.
This thematic list includes electricity producers based on wind energy, biomass or hydroelectricity, excluding solar or geothermal energy, and also companies that use waste to create energy, recycle or offer energy optimization solutions.
