Presently, John J. Stephens holds the position of Chief Financial Officer & Senior Executive VP at AT&T, Inc. Mr. Stephens is also on the board of Freeport-McMoRan, Inc., Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce (former Chairman), Catholic Charities of Dallas, Inc. and América Móvil BV.

He previously occupied the position of Member-Tax Staff at Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co., Senior Manager-Tax at Ernst & Young LLP and Chairman for United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, Inc.

John J. Stephens received an undergraduate degree from Rockhurst University and a graduate degree from Saint Louis University School of Law.
